Job Description
Monolith Tokyo is looking for an On-Site Marketing Coordinator to join the team in supporting one of our clients - a leading international wellness, food & beverage brand in Japan. The position is the primary executor of our client’s daily marketing activities.
This hands-on, creative role is perfect for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, community-focused environment and loves crafting engaging content, building social buzz, and bringing our brand to life both online and in the local Okinawa scene.
This is a full-time position, onsite at our client’s office in Okinawa, Japan.
Key Responsibilities:
[Content Creation & Copywriting]
- Develop compelling, trend-driven content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms that reflects a fun, wellness-focused brand voice.
- Help write engaging copy for social posts, website updates, email newsletters, and in-store promotions.
- Manage and coordinate a dynamic content calendar, including Reels, Stories, and short-form videos featuring fruit bowls, smoothies, and daily beachside vibes.
- Collaborate on influencer partnerships, campaign launches, and community-driven content.
[Visual & Brand Consistency]
- Create or coordinate visual assets (photos, videos, graphics) that showcase premium products and Okinawa lifestyle.
- Ensure all creative output aligns with the brand guidelines and aesthetic.
[Photography & Video Content]
- Capture and edit high-quality photos and videos of menu items, local events, and the brand experience.
- Highlight signature menus including vibrant fruit and smoothie bowls, and popular toasts in visually appealing ways.
[Social Media & Community Engagement]
- Manage daily social media activities, respond to follower comments and messages, and foster a positive, engaged online community.
- Monitor trends and leverage insights to grow audience and increase engagement.
- Represent the brand at local events, pop-ups, and collaborations, sharing real-time updates and stories.
[Event Coordination & Promotion]
- Organize and promote in-store and community events, including pop-ups, wellness workshops, and local partnerships.
- Use strategic marketing to drive attendance and generate buzz both online and offline.
[Campaign Management]
- Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns, including social ads and influencer collaborations.
- Track basic metrics and report on campaign performance, learning from Monolith Tokyo on how to optimize for reach and engagement.
[Market Research & Trendspotting]
- Stay up-to-date on food, wellness, and social media trends, especially those relevant to Okinawa and beachside communities.
- Suggest new ideas and bring fresh energy to marketing efforts.
Key Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in marketing, content creation, or social media management (food, beverage, or hospitality preferred)
- Excellent writing, photography, and video editing skills
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
- Creative, energetic, and passionate about health, wellness, and the Okinawa lifestyle
- Outstanding communication skills both in English and Japanese
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
- Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite) is a plus
Reports To:
- Marketing Lead at Monolith Tokyo; and On-site owners at client’s office
